功能验证已经成为开发SoC的主要问题。随着一些复杂SoC的规模超过两千万门,以及对开发和集成嵌入式软件的需求持续增加,软件模拟器已经力所不及。而本文所介绍的基于事务的验证允许代表单个或者多个时钟周期的大量数据不经多次调用而直接进入模拟器,极大地提高了模拟性能。
Functional verification has become a major issue for developing SoCs. Software simulators are just overpowered as some complex SoCs scale to more than 20 million and the need for developing and integrating embedded software continues to grow. The transaction-based verification described in this article allows large amounts of data representing single or multiple clock cycles to go directly to the simulator without multiple calls, greatly improving simulation performance.
