苏南村原是个“三难”村(干群关系相处难、社会治安管理难、村级经济发展难),1992年底,新一届村两委开拓进取,勤奋工作,推动苏南村经济社会走上发展快车道。村党组织被省委组织部授予农村基层组织建设工作“五个好”村党组织标兵,苏南村也先后被授予“全国民主法治示范村”、“安徽省社会主义新农村建设先进村”、“安徽省生态村”等光荣称号。
