Growing up near Guia Lighthouse in the early days, Mrs. Jin Jinwei, who had been stationed in the lighthouse of her ancestors, did not expect her husband to send her this gift: Guan Jinwei applied for their marriage to the World Heritage List Macau artifacts, the nearly 400-year-old Guia Fortress (including the Church of Our Lady of Snow Dome built in 1622 and the lighthouse built in 1864). They are the first bride and groom in Macau to hold a wedding here. Here is the completion of China’s first modern lighthouse. It is also where young Portuguese women in Maucao who relocated to Macau for hundreds of years have waited for their return to their husbands. This shining guide to sailing ships for more than three centuries of lighthouse, is still the most Jin Jinwei and his wife’s most romantic memories.
