粗榧属生物碱较引起注意是由于其母体生物碱三尖杉碱(Cephalotaxine,I)的结构较特殊以及(Ⅰ)与一些排环状双羧酸生成的长梗粗榧碱等酯类具有明显的抗白血病活性。四个已知长梗粗榧碱(Harringtonines)酯类中,只有异长梗粗榧碱(Ⅱ)的二酸侧链具有两个不对称中心~*。Ⅱ在甲醇中用甲醇钠进行温和的酯交换,产生(Ⅰ)和一个二甲酯(Ⅲ),后者具有苏式(threo)构型(Ⅲ)或赤式(erythro)构型(Ⅳ)。作者等已在体专属性地合成了(Ⅲ)和(Ⅳ)。
