With the rapid development of electronics and the growing demand for higher vehicle per-formance, intelligent shift technology is becoming increasingly important and it promises to be a de-veloping trend in vehicle automatic transmissions. A new simulation model is presented, which in-cludes engine, powertrain, tire and vehicle dynamics models. Based on the model, simulation experi-ments are conducted to investigate the slope shift strategy. The data and concinsions obtained from thesimulations are valuable contributions to the development of an intelligent slope shift stfategy.
