我县小厂公社粳子峪大队,实行带田玉米撮苗种植的办法,是从一九七二年开始的。经过一九七三、七四两年的生产实践,增产效果很显著,深受广大贫下中农欢迎。“带田玉米撮苗种植”,就是在过去带田玉米每穴种单株的基础上,改为每穴种四到五株。一九七三年,他们搞了二亩半四尺一带撮苗玉米实验田,结果玉米单产一千二百四十三斤,三茬作物总产一千七百六十一斤。在实验成功基础上,全大队一九七四年所有耕地采用了间混套种的方法,实现了种植带田化。其中种玉米的带田面积是三百六十五亩,撮苗玉米面积达到二百亩,经过重点地块的单打单收和普遍测产调查,二百亩撮苗玉米总产十八万七千四百斤,平均亩产九百三
