本文以110名民办高校大学生为研究对象,通过问卷调查文理科两大不同方向非英语专业学习者,在学习媒介、教学活动方式、教学组织方式、学习方法以及反馈方式五大类课堂活动偏好情况。研究结果表明,民办高校文理科生学习英语目的一致,均以工具性动机为导向,但文理科生在大学英语教学课堂活动偏好差异显著,其中在教学活动方式偏好上差异显著,文科生对语言游戏、邀请他人分享经验、角色扮演以及家庭作业这四项教学活动方式偏好高于理科学习者;在教学组织方式上,文科生更偏好于小组教学;在教学反馈方式上,文科生更偏向于教师私下提供反馈意见。以学生的实际课堂需求分析,作为教学改革的基点,探索适合民办高校学生群体的现实可行的大学英语教学模式。
This paper takes 110 undergraduates of private universities as the research object, investigates the preference of non-English majors in two major directions of liberal arts and sciences in five major categories of classroom activities: learning media, teaching activities, teaching organization, learning methods and feedback. The results show that liberal arts and science students in private universities with the same purpose of learning English are instrumental motivation-oriented, but the liberal arts and science students in college English teaching activities have significant differences in preferences, including teaching activities in the preferences of significant differences, liberal arts students of language The four teaching activities, such as games, inviting others to share experience, role play and homework, have a higher preference for science learners. In terms of teaching organization, liberal arts students preferred to teach in small groups. In terms of teaching feedback, liberal arts students tended to Teachers provide feedback privately. Based on the analysis of students’ actual classroom needs, as the starting point of teaching reform, this paper explores realistic and feasible college English teaching modes suitable for student groups in private universities.
