本文以中国政法大学于2009年5月底在北京香山饭店主办的“中美法律信息及图书馆研讨会”为背景,通过对美国法律图书馆员罗伟先生的访谈,对比中美法律图书馆的不同发展历史和现状,以为中美之间增进了解和合作、借鉴美国图书馆先进的发展模式和管理经验提供交流平台。全文首先以罗伟先生之个人经历为线索,围绕法律图书馆员的定位及职称评价、美国法律图书馆员如何应对新技术的挑战等主题,从多个侧面展示了美国当代法律图书馆馆员之面貌;最后,结合中美香山大会和采访,对当今中国图书馆面临的某些主要问题,如法律图书馆的功能、图书馆人才的培养和职业化以及图书馆与出版机构的互动关系等方面进行了探讨。
Based on the “Symposium on Sino-American Legal Information and Library” sponsored by China University of Politics and Law at China University of Political Science and Law at the end of May 2009 at China University of Political Science and Law, through interviews with American law librarian Mr. Luo Wei, According to the different development history and current status of the museum, the two sides agreed to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between China and the United States and learn from the advanced development model and management experience of the U.S. Library to provide a platform for exchange.
