经典问题在中国文坛再度成为争论话题,事实上并不是一两个事件促成的,80年代以来,随着中国古典名著被改编成电视剧播出,对经典问题的讨论就已经开始。除四大名著外,曹禺的《雷雨》被改编成电视剧,并且大量稀释和改动原著情节的做法,已经引发过一场争论。但那时人们还没有从学术层面上真正面对这一问题。当下文坛自上而下的“精品”说,事实上也与“经典”一词有着某种联系。笔者曾就此发表过一些看法(《文章见《读书》1997年
