班主任工作是非常琐碎和复杂的,不仅要教给学生文化知识,还要加强学生的思想政治和道德品质教育,教给学生如何做一个正直的人,尤其后者更是班主任工作的中心任务.有针对性地及时做好学生的思想工作,与学生谈话是一条重要途径,而'闲聊'则更能起到正式谈话所不可替代的作用.
