1903年7月20日,贺绿汀出生在湖南省邵东县九龙岭镇的一个小山村里。因为热爱音乐,他从小山村走出来;因为热爱音乐,他完成了辉煌的艺术人生。整整九十六年,贺绿汀创作了三部大合唱、六部歌剧、近二百首歌曲、五首钢琴曲、七首管弦乐曲、二十七部电影音乐、五部话剧配乐,撰写了二百八十多篇(部)音乐理论文章、专著和述评,为中国现代音乐事业留下了一笔宝贵财富。而作为一名音乐教育家,从1949年到1984年间,贺老担任上海音乐学院院长三十五载,在自己最富盛年的时期,将全部心血倾注在这所中外驰名的著名音乐学府。他用毕生对音乐事业的追求,谱写了一曲坦荡激昂的浩浩长歌,用近一个世纪的艰难、坎坷与辉煌,树立起中国现代音乐史的一座丰碑,正如原国家主席江泽民所言:“谱写生活的强音,讴歌人民的事业。”2003年7月20日,在贺老百年诞辰之日,老音乐家的
