媒介当然是几百年来西方社会以及当今乃至以后新兴全球社会的核心。信息机器即在生产、再生产、储存、文本和声音图像配置及文化组成元素中必不可少的技术,人们对信息机器的使用呈现出强度越来越大越来越复杂的趋势。人们将这一现象称为“媒介生态”(福勒,2005),赋予动物、植物和矿物生态系统新的层次。所以人们理应以批判的视角严肃审视媒介。我认为它们是理解与人类和机器之间新的互动形态相关的全球化进程的一个关键。
The media, of course, is at the core of Western societies for centuries and the emerging global community now and in the future. Information Machinery is an essential technique in the production, reproduction, storage, distribution of textual and sound images and elements of cultural composition, and the use of information machines presents a tendency of increasing strength and complexity. This phenomenon is called “media ecology” (Fowler, 2005) and gives a new level of animal, plant and mineral ecosystem. Therefore, people should seriously examine the media from a critical perspective. I think they are a key to understanding the process of globalization related to the new interaction between humans and machines.
