对于中国来说,作为世界上最大的发展中国家,一旦成为WTO成员,中国的企业将直接面对全球市场,与国际知名大公司一同竞争。中国的企业既面临新的发展机遇,又面临严峻的挑战。加入WTO之后,中国在享受多边贸易体制权利的同时,也将履行相应的义务,意味着我国将逐步向国外放开市场,激烈的市场竞争将会成为不争的事实。对于国际知名大公司来说,它们决不会对中国这样一个庞大的市场置之不理,一旦中国的市场准入逐步放宽,它们就会大举抢滩中国,我国长期以来受保护、扶持的企业将面临严酷的挑战,中国的民族工业将会陷入世界名牌的重重包围之中。
