Japan’s electronic product market forecast in 1999 According to the forecast of the Japan Electronics Industry Association (EIAJ), the total output value of the electronics industry in Japan reached 246,010 billion yen in 1999, an increase of 2% over the previous year. Among the three categories of consumer electronic products, industrial electronic products and electronic components, the output value of electronic components will grow fastest, and will increase at a rate of 3.2% (981.2 billion yen); including personal computers (PCs).
