昆明物理研究所地处风景优美、四季如春的云南省首府昆明市。它建于1958年,现隶属于中国兵器工业总公司,系从事研制、生产红外材料、器件和整机的高技术专业研究所。红外热成象技术是当今世界高技术之一。它综合了材料科学、半导体技术、微电子技术、精密机械、红外光学、系统工程等多种学科与技术。红外热成象技术不仅在军事应用上占有相当重要的地位,而且在工业、农业、医学、交通运输等民用部门有着广泛的用途。
Kunming Institute of Physics is located in the beautiful scenery, all seasons such as spring in Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province. It was built in 1958, now under the China Ordnance Industry Corporation, is engaged in the development, production of infrared materials, devices and complete machine of high-tech professional institute. Infrared thermal imaging technology is one of the world’s high-tech. It combines materials science, semiconductor technology, microelectronics, precision machinery, infrared optics, systems engineering and other disciplines and technologies. Infrared thermal imaging technology not only occupies a very important position in military applications, but also has a wide range of uses in the civil sector such as industry, agriculture, medicine and transportation.
