Learners want to learn English well, the first step is to lay a solid foundation, that is, to accumulate a lot of vocabulary. Just like building a high-rise building, you must have one brick and one tile to build the building step by step. Therefore, accumulating vocabulary is especially important for learning English well. However, many English students always complain that they can not recite a word or do not want to take the initiative to recite a word. Therefore, vocabulary memory has become a stumbling block to many learners’ learning English. Therefore, Ebbinghaus’s law of forgetting plays a certain role in solving the problem of students’ memorizing English words as the theoretical basis of vocabulary learning strategies, and explores several effective English vocabulary memory strategies to help students quickly and firmly recite word.
