Objective To investigate the relationship between the distribution of RDW and the number of dialysis hypotension (IDH) and cardiovascular events in hemodialysis patients. Methods From July 2014 to July 2015, 120 patients with maintenance hemodialysis in our hospital hemodialysis center were selected as subjects. According to whether there were cardiovascular events during dialysis, the patients were divided into observation group (n = 21) and cardiovascular events In the control group without cardiovascular events, 99 cases were recorded. The hypotensive and erythrocyte distribution widths of two groups were recorded. Logistic regression model was used to investigate the distribution of erythrocytes and the predictive value of dialysis on cardiovascular events in dialysis patients. Results In the observation group, the distribution of erythrocytes and the number of cases of hypotension were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that RDW and IDH were independent risk factors for cardiovascular events in hemodialysis patients (P <0.05). Conclusion The distribution of red blood cells in blood is closely related to cardiovascular events and is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular events.
