1946年5月,周恩来率领中共代表团由重庆迁来南京,继续与国民党政府进行谈判,为争取战后中国走上和平、民主的民族复兴道路而不懈努力。历史上将这次国共谈判称之为“南京谈判”。谈判期间,周恩来率领中共代表团,坚定地执行党中央的指示,在国统区广泛地领导和开展爱国民主运动,揭露了蒋介石假和平、真内战的阴谋,争取了朋友,教育了人民,对加速解放战争的胜利,做出了巨大的贡献。
