Much of the developmental defects of the ectoderm can occur in the oral cavity and the occurrence of oral hair has been reported in the literature in the past, with only two cases in the literature reviewed by the author, the first one being a 57 found by Miles in 1960 Year-old man, and the second, a 45-year-old woman reported by Baughman in 1980. Case A 13-year-old boy with alopecia areata found that one fourth of the upper right tooth had long hairs that grew 4mm to 6mm in length, black and thinner than the hair. Dental hair was found a year before he went to the clinic for medical treatment. He had not been treated because hair had no effect on him. Part of the hair was removed with forceps during a follow-up, but after two months the oral hair grew again in the original site and was removed again.
