1990年9月18～19日,江苏省水力发电工程学会第二次会员代表大会在南京召开。出席人数70余人。开幕式上省科协潘副主席做了重要讲话,对学会工作提出了希望和要求。河海大学蒋副校长代表学会挂靠单位讲了话。来自福建、浙江、安徽等兄弟学会的代表出席了会议并发了言。全国学会及江西省水力发电工程学会发来了贺电。左东启理事长代表第一届理事会做工作报告。他从学会组织建设、学术交流活动、考察调查活动及其他方面系统和全面的总结了五年来的学会工作。对学会今后提出了建议。江苏省水力资源较贫乏,目前只有3万kw的小水电站。可是江苏地区人才荟萃,高等院校、科研单位、制造厂家拥有很多从事于水力发电工作的技术专家,学者。江苏要根据自已的特点,发扬自已的特点。
