“涂鸦”是指在墙壁上乱涂乱写的图像或文字,涂鸦艺术在20世纪60年代中后期出现,是对波普艺术的某种发展。大部分的涂鸦作品都有一定的审美价值,但由于创作者良莠不齐,创作上随意无章,致使涂鸦无法登堂入室成为人皆认可的艺术门类的一种,我们暂可以把它列为边缘艺术。但必须承认的是,涂鸦有着强烈的个性特点,无论是从它的创作过程还是最后效果看,都有很多可圈可点之处,一般来说,表现出以下几个特点:
