对１２例儿童外源性眼内炎的病例讨论，提示医疗防疫部门对一次性注射器管理不善，使用后不能及时销毁使之流入社会，造成儿童致伤致残的严重后果，尤其是防疫机构使用过的一次性注射器内含有残余疫苗，且常为活菌疫苗，因此，危害更大。同时提请家长注意，一旦发现儿童因玩耍废弃注射器刺伤眼球，尽管当时局部无特殊表现，也应立即到正规医院救治，以免贻误病情。
