The Department of General Surgery of Ulm University in Germany treated 506 cases of pancreatic malignancies from 1982 to 1994, and 39 cases (8%) were derived from uncinate processes, with an average age of 63.3 years (48 to 79 years). The main complaint was postprandial abdominal pain, accounting for 32 cases; weight loss of more than 10% reached 34 cases, and only 5 cases had jaundice. The median time from the first symptom to the diagnosis was significantly longer than that of pancreatic cancer (20:10 weeks). Jaundice is not the first cancer of uncinate process
