温麦4号是温县农科所继育成豫麦25号(温2540)之后,又选育成功的一个小麦新品系。该品系于1988年选自“混温2540”大田出现的变异单株,经系统选育而成。1993年同时参加河南省和黄淮南片小麦高肥冬水组区试,表现优异,比豫麦2号、豫麦25号早熟、粒大、病轻、秆低、抗倒、高产,是一个很有希望能大面积推广利用的小麦新品系。
