榆杂２９为云南农业大学新育成的粳型高产组合，在云南部分地区４ａ来的试验示范结果表明，在海拔１２００～１８００ｍ为最适宜种植地区；其高产栽培技术是：适期早播，是高产的重要环节，稀播适龄壮秧，秧龄５０ｄ，同时早栽、浅栽，基本苗随海拔升高达到４５～７５（万／ｈｍ２），采用宽窄行栽培方式；以肥水促控保证群体结构优化，提高成穗率、结实率；注重后期肥水管理，以养根保叶，提高粒重。可达到有效穗４０５万／ｈｍ２，单产１１．２５ｔ／ｈｍ２。
