The U.S. government recently released a new guidebook on recommendations for high blood pressure, which stipulates that systolic blood pressure (hyperbaric pressure) exceeds 120 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure (LV) over 80 mmHg is no longer considered as healthy blood pressure. This manual was prepared by a committee of experts designated by the U.S. government and published online in the recently published American Medical Association Journal. The new manual does not modify the diagnostic criteria for hypertension, that is, high pressure over 140 mmHg, low pressure over 90 mmHg is considered as high blood pressure. However, the new manual has more stringent health-related blood pressure regulations. In the future, high pressures between 120-140 mm Hg and low pressures between 80-90 mm Hg will be considered “quasi-hypertension.” And the United States
