Etimicin is a new aminoglycoside derivative of gentamicinC_(1a). developed in China. AIM: To evaluate the safety andefficacy of etimicin sulfate for injection (ETMs) (100 mg/vial ).METHOD: A block randomized, parallel controlled, openlabelled, multicentre clinical trial was conducted in 4 clinicalcentres, the control drug was netilmicin sulfate injection (NTMs)(100 g·L~(-1)). Daily doses of both drugs were 100 mg×2/dgiven by intravenous infusion within 60 min. The protocol wasapproved by the Independent Ethics Committee of BMU before thetrial. Informed Consent was obtained from each patient beforetreatment. RESULTS were as follows:
