In 1993, the guiding ideology of the work and activities of the China Chemical Society was to conscientiously implement the spirit of the 14th CPC National Congress and guided the reform and development of the Institute with the theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. We should emancipate our minds, change our concepts, seize the opportunities, adapt ourselves to the establishment of a socialist market economic system and the reform of government departments and institutions to change their functions, accelerate the pace of reform and enhance the vitality and strength of the Institute.
