《中华汉英大词典》(以下略作《中华》)诞生于全球化大背景下我国致力于发展中国话语、提升国家文化软实力的历史时期。为满足新时期要求,《中华》呈现出以下一些编纂特色:第一,奉行“有保留的描写主义”编纂方针;第二,《中华》是一部收词覆盖面较广的足本汉英词典;第三,提供音训、义训及部分形训内容;第四,释义兼顾语义与语用两个层面,力求“超越等值”。
The “Chinese-English-Chinese Dictionary” (hereinafter abbreviated as “China”) was born in the historical period in which China devoted itself to the development of Chinese discourse and the promotion of national cultural soft power in the context of globalization. In order to meet the requirements of the new period, “China” presents some of the following characteristics of compilation: first, pursuing the compilation principle of “reserved descriptiveism”; secondly, “China” is a relatively complete book English dictionary; Third, to provide audio training, meaning training and some training content; Fourth, the interpretation of both semantic and pragmatic level, and strive to “exceed the equivalent”.
