由浙江丝绸工学院发起和组织的“中国丝绸史学术讨论会”,于1983年9月21～26日在杭州召开。出席会议的有13个省、市、自治区的31个有关单位的85位代表。会议收到论文和资料53篇,大会宣读的论文计38篇。这次会议是建国以来的第一次,着重交流、讨论了近几年来丝绸史学术研究的成果,并就筹建中国丝绸史研究会和编写《中国丝绸史》等有关问题,进行了认真、热烈的讨论。
The “Symposium on Chinese Silk History” initiated and organized by Zhejiang Silk Institute of Technology was held in Hangzhou on September 21-26, 1983. There were 85 representatives from 31 related units in 13 provinces, cities and autonomous regions attending the meeting. The conference received 53 papers and materials, and 38 papers were read by the conference. The meeting was the first time since the founding of the People’s Republic of China that it focused on exchanges and discussed the achievements made in the academic study of silk history in recent years. They also conducted serious and enthusiastic discussions on the preparation of the China Silk Research Association and the preparation of the “Silk History of China” discussion.
