一、开拓者的功绩 《鸡西市志》历经15年的苦苦求索,精雕细琢,终于公开发行,掩卷沉思,感慨万千。这届修志,在鸡西历史上是第一次,是在理论、人才、经验等诸多方面都没有准备的情况下起步的。任务之艰巨,工作之曲折,涉及面之广泛,参与人数之众多,都远远超出了组织者预先的估计。虽历经磨难,但终成正果,为鸡西市的文化建设工程乃至后人都办了一件好事、大事、实在事,具有勿庸置疑的开创性历史意义。从现实意义上讲,《鸡西市志》将为全市各行各业研究、规划和开展社会主义物质文明、精神文明建设,为深化改革,扩大开放和发展社会主义市场经济,提供宝贵的历史资料和科学的决策依据,发挥“资政、教化、存史”的重要功能。从
