新闻回放自2008年6月2日起,联邦快递宣布进一步调低国内快递资费,据称降价幅度达到50%以上(其中最快服务“次早达”费用下调幅度达77%),价格已低于民营快递,并通过铺设网络加强时效优势。在经历油价高涨、物流成本陡增,国营与民营快递企业不得不压缩利润乃至涨价冲动强烈的状况下,联邦快递“逆市降价”行为被外界普遍理解为“以牺牲利润为代价争取市场份额”。此种战略,在其进军欧洲一些国家市场时也曾使用过,并且证明奏效。
