The developing process of pantograph skateboard for Japanese electric locomotive is introduced, and the problems existing in practical use of these skateboards are analyzed. By describing the research, performance and application status of Japanese impregnated metal carbon skateboard, it is pointed out that the impregnated metal carbon skateboard has good development prospects.
