The pitch problem of a wind instrument in a band is a complicated one, and many conductors feel it is very troublesome on this issue. During the rehearsal of the band, it is often heard that the conductor who criticizes the wind instrument is inaccurate while the player lifts the instrument and tells the commander: “My instrument is not allowed.” This situation is more pronounced in the woodwind part.
