A high performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of imidacloprid was established. The mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.2% phosphoric acid (volume ratio 40:60) with an ODS C18 column and diode array detector at a detection wavelength of 270 nm at a flow rate of 1.0 mL / min and a column temperature of 40 ° C. The linear correlation coefficient of this method was 0.999 9, the standard deviation was 0.20, the coefficient of variation was 0.29% and the average recovery was 100.62%.
