2006年10月23日,索尼(中国)有限公司宣布推出全新Walkman NW-S700F系列数字音乐播放器,这款产品集成了最新开发的降噪技术,为消费者提供高音质的即时音乐享受。索尼Walkman NW- S700F系列拥有高保真立体声、清晰重低音、五波段均衡器以及虚拟耳机等技术,配备直径13．5mm驱动单元耳机、可显示CD封套的3行彩色OEL显示屏、内置FM收音机。同时,这款新品也继承了Walkman出色的长时间播放和方便的兼容能力, Walkman NW-S700F充电3分钟就可以连续播放3小时,充满电以后最长可持续播放50小时。
