Two more countries provided the US Army with wheeled armored vehicles they used to participate in the selective training of the first new Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) in St. Louis. The sample cars from Germany were “fox” armored vehicles and “Bobcats” armored reconnaissance vehicles; the prototype that Italy sent was a “Centaur” 8-wheeled armored vehicle equipped with the NATO standard 105mm artillery mounted on the M1 tank's earlier model . In accordance with the provisions of “Training and Ordinance Command”, the vehicles provided were delivered in September 2000 as substitutes for vehicles that will eventually be selected and purchased by the new units. Until the transitional armored vehicles were purchased, these foreign vehicles, together with the 32 Canadian Type III Light Armored Vehicles (LAV III) rented, were able to carry out selective training in the new units. “Loaned armored vehicles enable IBCT's natives to work in accordance with the regulations and tactics, technologies and procedures (TTP), so these vehicles can be used as transitional vehicles.” Alfred, the project officer in charge of the leasing agreement,
