敦煌变文的语言上承先秦两汉的文言用语,下启宋元的白话口语,在汉语发展史上具有极其重要的地位。作为连接古代汉语与近代汉语的一座桥梁,敦煌变文中丰富而多样的称谓,无疑是考察汉语称谓语发展的珍贵资料,对其特点进行系统而深入的挖掘,不仅在语言学方面具有很高的研究价值,而且在弘扬传统道德、大力构建和谐社会的今天,具有极其深远的现实意义。
The language of Dunhuang bianwen inherited the classical Chinese and the wording of Qin and Han dynasties, and the opening of the vernacular spoken and written Song and Yuan dynasties became extremely important in the history of the Chinese language development. As a bridge linking Ancient Chinese with modern Chinese, the rich and varied titles in Dunhuang Variations undoubtedly are precious data for examining the development of Chinese appellations and systematic and in-depth exploration of their characteristics. They not only have a high linguistic Research value, but also carry forward the traditional morals and vigorously build a harmonious society today, with far-reaching practical significance.
