“谷子杂种优势预测法”,是中国科学院生物物理研究所和我省张家口地区坝下农科所、怀来县黄营大队科技组于1976年开始协作研究,现已获得了较理想的预测效果。1978年9月张家口行署科委在怀来县黄营大队召开了现场鉴定会,参加会议的有中央和地方各有关单位的领导干部和科技人员共35人。会上对预测过的41个组合进行了田间鉴定,预测准确率达到82.7%,与1977年用已知有优势组合重复实验准确率为86.7%相近似。应用卡方法验证,也相符合。一致认为,这是选育作物杂交种的一项新技术,这
