国际森林年即将结束之际,就森林和国民生活及社会经济中的重要性,在全国范围内展开了对其重要性的讨论。10月4日,在横滨市召开的国际森林年纪念专题讨论会,更是国际森林年的中心大事,邀清了国外及国际机构组织森林、林业领域的专业人员。就《为了人类的后代,保护森林》。这一题目,进行了讨论。(主办单位:国际森林年事业推进协会,付主办单位:横滨市,全国森林组织联合会)。这次公开讨论会,就人类与森林之间关系中森林的重要性和世界各地区的森林问题进行了讨论,並探讨解决这些问题的方法,FAO国际森林年现任调节官E、H、塞尼先生首先作了基本方针的演讲。大会采取多形式的讨论,收到了澳大利亚,日本等6个国家送来的现状报告书及作家,仓本聪先生的不同意见
Towards the end of the International Year of Forests, discussions on the importance of forest and national life and socio-economics have taken place throughout the country.
