新宁县麻林瑶族自治乡的竹根雕刻面具无论在外在艺术特征表达上,还是在视觉展现上,又或是在设计形式上都与其他地区的傩面具存在着明显的差异,而这些差异正是八峒瑶族独特的文化背景与设计心理的体现,对竹根傩面的设计心理分析有助于更为全面的理解传统价值观及生活方式对设计者在艺术设计创作过程中的影响,同时对于研究传统文化对现代设计的影响有着启发性的作用跟意义。
