Data released by Taiwan’s financial authorities on February 7 showed that in January Taiwan exported 6.122 billion U.S. dollars to the mainland while the mainland remained the largest export market in Taiwan. Data show that the month Taiwan’s exports amounted to 23.74 billion US dollars, an increase of 7%, the growth rate fell 7 percentage points from the previous month; imports of 20.25 billion US dollars, up 8.4% over the same month a year earlier.
