人类文明演进到今天,终于出现了整体化或综合化的趋势,进而形成了一种整体文明。整体文明是一种综合性或复合性的文明形态,是我们从整体性的视角而对人类文明的一种把握和认识。整体文明的生成是在当今人类社会整体化发展的大背景下而出现的一种具有积极意义的必然趋势,它代表着人类文明演进的方向和未来。在内容结构上,整体文明是人的文明、物质文明、政治文明、精神文明和生态文明的有机统一体。整体文明具有整体性、协同性和历史性等的特征。马克思恩格斯的社会结构理论,为我们提出整体文明提供了充分的理论依据。当今中国推进中国特色社会主义事业的过程,其实就是一个追求整体文明发展的过程。研究和建设整体文明,具有十分重要的理论和现实意义。建设整体文明,应当坚持以整体为目标的重点推进原则。

To study and build the whole civilization has very important theoretical and practical significance. To build an overall civilization, we should uphold the principle of promoting key issues with the overall goal as a whole.
