语文素养是语文知识和能力、语言积累、思想情感、思维品质、审美情趣、学习方式和良好习惯的有机融合。加强阅读积累,激发写作情趣是提高语文素养的重要内容之一。《语文课程标准》的阶段性目标中(7—9年级)明确指出:“能较熟练地运用略读和浏览的方法,扩大阅读范围,拓展自己的视野”。为了实现阅读目标,从七年级设立“自主阅读课”是一个行之有效的方法。能够提高语文的学习效率,激发学习语文的兴趣,享受语文学习的乐趣。
