Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in improving stroke step and pace of stroke patients from the perspective of foot biomechanical signals. Methods: Twenty-one subjects were randomly divided into control group and acupuncture group. Fugl-Meyer assessment (lower extremity), Barthel index and biomechanical test were performed before and after treatment, and the results were statistically analyzed. Results: There was no significant difference in Fugl-Meyer score (lower limbs), Barthel index and step length between the two groups before and after treatment. The walking speed of patients receiving acupuncture treatment group was significantly higher than that before treatment, P <0.05. Conclusion: Acupuncture can improve the walking speed of stroke patients.
