萨罗吉尼·萨胡是印度当代很有影响的女性主义作家和理论家,她在西方知识和女性主义理论的背景下,强调了印度现实的重要意义,立足印度本土,发现印度女性的问题。她挖掘了印度女性写作的传统,凸显了被男性历史忽视的女作家的作用;肯定男女两性的自然差异,主张女性应肯定并欣赏自身,在承认差异的基础上构建女性主义的内涵;认为女性主义的目的是两性的和谐而不是对抗,是在承认差别的基础上互相造就和完善。

In the context of Western knowledge and feminist theory, she stressed the importance of Indian reality and based her own homeland on the discovery of Indian women’s issues . She excavated the Indian tradition of female writing, highlighting the role of female writers who were neglected by male history, affirming the natural differences between men and women, arguing that women should affirm and appreciate themselves and construct feminism on the basis of recognizing differences. The purpose of the doctrine is to achieve harmony rather than confrontation between the two sexes by creating and perfecting each other on the basis of recognition of differences.
