口译要求译员具有较高的语言表达技能和丰富的专业领域知识,来自不同学科背景的非英语专业高端学生因此成为新世纪口译人才的潜力军。本文阐述开设多学科背景口译课程的意义,分享课程建设的经验和成效,探索提高大学生口译能力及英语应用能力的有效途径。
Interpreters require translators with a high level of language skills and a wealth of knowledge in the field of specialization. Non-English-speaking high-end students from different disciplines have therefore become the potential military force for interpreting talents in the new century. This article elaborates the significance of setting up a multidisciplinary interpretation course to share the experience and achievements of the course construction and explore effective ways to improve college students’ ability of interpreting and applying English.
