The “World Investment Report 1994” is the research result of multinational companies and investment countries. The strategy adopted by multinational corporations in the relationship between the parent company and its foreign branches is the core issue for understanding the progress of globalization. The assets owned by the transnational corporations and the assets owned by their foreign branches indicate that one-third of the world’s total production is produced by multinational corporations. Therefore, the integrated international production system is the core of the globalized world economy. The “World Investment Report 1994” explores the most complex and controversial issues in the contemporary international economic field: multinational corporations, industries, and people.
