泼墨泼色是80年代以来中国画相当时髦的一项技法:但它不是现代画家的发明,发明权属于一千二百年前的唐代水墨画先驱王默和“顾生”,王默发明泼墨法,“顾生”在泼墨基础上加以泼色,两人都是山水画家。王默史料记载明确,“顾生”是诗人画家顾况,还是另有其人,却一直是美术史的悬案。过去没人重视这个古人的“知识产权”问题,因为泼墨泼色在古代不是常规画法,发明人故不受重视。今天泼墨泼色变成中国画的重要技法,便不免要溯流探源,查找首创者。《美术观察》1996年第3期李昕、李光复的《中国画泼墨泼彩溯源》就是这样一
Splashes of ink and color are a rather trendy technique for Chinese painting since the 1980s. However, it is not the invention of modern painters. The invention belongs to Wang Mohe and “Gu Sheng”, the pioneers of Tang Dynasty ink painting of the 1920s. Wang Mo invented the method of splashing ink , “Gu-sheng” in the splash based on the color, both are landscape painters. Wangmo historical records clearly, “Gu-sheng” is the poet painter Gu situation, or otherwise, but it has always been a pending case of art history.
