Corpse wax is a natural preservation phenomenon of the body. It is a long-term body immersed in water or under-humid moist soil, yellow and white paraffin-like saturated fatty acid or fatty acid salt layer formed on the surface and under the skin. The important significance of the dead wax in forensic medicine is that once the dead wax is formed, the whole body or part of the body together with the scar, the scar and the physiological and pathological features will be cured for a long time, which is of great value in identifying the dead and exposing the criminal facts. In the case of unnamed corpse, floating body of river, corpse, moving body or other time of unknown death, Paraffin wax has reference value for estimating the time of committing the crime and determining the scope of the investigation.
